Mike Frost
A former student of jazz legend Jaco Pastorius and Pat Martino,
Mike Frost is a composer, studio
musician, educator, engineer, and leader of his own band, “Inner Voice.”“The Deep," currently performing in the New York area. He
also tours, and is seen monthly on national TV, with
guitarist Esteban
(Home Shopping Network).
His most recent project involved teaming up with Jim
Ahrend and Joe Chirco in a trio
called Karmic Tiempo, recently releasing
their first CD, "Synergy."
Mike has also recorded with David Mann (Tower of Power), Menolo Badrena (Weather Report),
Todd Turkisher (David Burns, Ute Lemper), John Scarpulla (Tower of Power, Bruce Springsteen),
John Miceli (Meat Loaf), George Cintron (Leslie West, Blue Oyster Cult), Ken Talve,
Chuck Alder, Frank Belluci and many others.
Mike has been
a music educator since 1976, helping to guide the development of thousands of both
young and mature musicians. He is sought after for his creative ability to cross
over all styles of music authentically, with a deep melodic pocket and beautiful
creative solo approach. Mike is known for a unique quality of sound on his
Clifford Roi six-string basses.
