Mike Frost

A former student of jazz legend’s Pat Martino and Jaco Pastorius, Mike Frost is a life long composer, studio musician, educator, and designer of Brickhouse speaker enclosures. He leads his own band “Inner Voice,” tours with Jesse Colin Young, and also with guitarist Esteban. Mike co-leads a NY based band called “Two Deep”. He recently teamed up with Jim Ahrend and Joe Chirco in a Latin Jazz trio named “Karmic Tiempo”. The trio’s first CD, “Synergy,” is now available.

The Mike Frost Jazz Trio is performing in South Carolina and is soon to be releasing it’s first CD. Some of Mike’s available recordings are; “Mike Frost Inner Voice,” “Mike Frost Tears of Joy,” Karmic Tiempo’s “Synergy,” The Deep, Keith Hart “It’s About Time,” Ken Talve “Across the Board,” Jesse Colin Young “Election Day,” and “Esteban Live at Red Rocks”.

Frost has recorded with a long list of industry musicians including, Jesse Colin Young, Esteban, David Mann (Tower of Power), Manolo Badrena (Weather Report), Todd Turkisher (David Byrne, Ute Lemper), John Scarpulla (Tower of Power, Bruce Springsteen), John Miceli (Meatloaf), George Cintron (Leslie West, Blue Oyster Cult), and Ken Talve.

This three-decade music educator is well known for the unique quality of sound that he produces on his Clifford Roi six string basses.
